Baljit K. Johl, PT, MPT, MS-HCA
It’s hard to take care of our health when we’re running on empty. I will work with you to restore and improve motion, giving you individualized tools so that you can manage and prevent the muscular imbalances and be as pain free as possible.
My goal is provide collaborative care to facilitate your individualized healing and wellness so that you can achieve your highest functional potential.
I utilize an approach that integrates physical therapy interventions (including mobilization, neuromuscular re-education, taping, stretching, and patient education) as well as other gentle modalities such as myofascial release and Bowenwork to help your body align into balance.
I received my Master’s in Physical Therapy in Southern California and I’ve been practicing for over 20 years. I recently completed my Master’s in Healthcare Administration and realized that the best course for me was to open my own practice. It allows me treat patients in a way that I think is most appropriate, without the obstacles set in place by insurance companies. It allows me to respect your body’s individualized pace of healing. We get the opportunity to build a collaborative relationship that empowers you to achieve your individual goals.
I’ve worked in a variety of settings including trauma hospitals, outpatient clinics, and pediatric clinics. I’ve worked with patients with a variety of diagnoses, including orthopedics, trauma, cardiology issues, post-surgery, wound care, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke rehabilitation, and pediatric rehabilitation.
“I cannot recommend Baljit Johl enough as an amazing physical therapist. I began seeing Baljit because of a frozen shoulder resulting from an injury. I was in severe pain and in one session my pain level reduced immensely. Through the body work she does and exercises she has given me, I have made incredible strides in releasing my shoulder. She works me hard but is so in tune with what is happening with my arm that I am not in pain during her sessions. Besides being a skilled diagnostician with a deep knowledge of how the body works, Baljit is a warm empathetic person. 5 years ago I had a frozen shoulder on the other side, this time, with Baljit’s help, my recovery is so much faster!” (Mary Beth C.)
